Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Nov/Dec charity support was...Yorkshire Air Ambulance. On Sunday 20th November we were joined by Shelagh Robinson at the 10:00am service who talked to us about the work of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Futher information can be found on their website. Recent Events

A Burns Night Celebration - thanks to Hazel and Malcolm and others for a super evening on Friday 27th January. In total £326.50 was raised for church funds.

Christmas Tree festival and Fayre A great thanks to all who were involved in making last weekend one to remember. The fayre raised an amazing £952 for the church and the tree festival and concert raised £480 which will be split between church funds and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Church Christmas Fayre took place on Saturday 3rd December in the morning. Thanks to all who supported the event.

This was also the weekend of our Christmas tree festival. There was a concert in church on the Saturday evening with entertainment on the theme of Christmas.

"VICTORY BELLE" was a fantastic musical evening on Saturday 15th October. Thanks to all who supported the event and to Craig/Hayley and Ian/Diane and the rest of the team for all their efforts.

Christian Aid - 'Snowman Drive' Final
The final took place on Saturday 12th March 2011 at Greenside Methodist Church Hall, Gildersome. Snowman Drive Hamper Presentation
Winners from Morley and District Churches individual Snowman Drives competed for major prizes. (£223 was raised as a result of the various 'Snowman Drives.') Shirley Green, representing St. Michael's church was the winner of a Traidcraft bumper hamper.

Celebrate Yorkshire! - a Festival of Flowers

In July 2009 flower festival 2009 - display in church porchSt Michael's Church hosted a festival of flowers which was presented by East Ardsley Flower Club.

Lord Mayor visits St Michael's in 2010
The Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Judith Elliot, visited St. Michael's church on Sunday 7th March 2010. Lord Mayor's visit 2010 Judith began with a visit to our Sunday School where she met the children, joined in their act of worship and saw the Lenten Quilt the children are designing.
Judith then joined the congregation at St. Michael's for moring prayer. During the service Mrs Margaret Watson, a long term member of the congregation, presented the Lord Mayor with a flower basket. Councillor Elliot then joined the congregation for refreshments after the service.
This was the Lord Mayor's second visit to the church in her term of office. Her first was in July 2009 when she attended East Ardsley Flower festival which was held in St. Michael's church.
Martin House Hospice

It was a lovely morning On Saturday 12th November when the Sunday School and others did fundraising for Martin House Hospice in the Church Hall. Many people supported the event and it was great time of fellowship and fun.
