Seekers Coffee Morning - many thanks to all those who supported the coffee morning Saturday 4th Feb run by the youth club . Overall an amazing £448 was raised for theirfunds. This is in addition to the £25 which was raised by Amy by selling her biscuits at a the recent unity service and a £100 donation.

Church Magazine for March/April is now available. Spare copies at back of church. Please encourage others - friends and neighbours to subscribe.

A Quiz for Easter has been devised at £1 for church funds, available from Malcolm or Hazel, or from the back of church.

A sing-a-long 'Mama Mia' on Friday 10th Feb in the evening there is an opportunity to get together in the Church Hall for the film 'Mama Mia' starting at 7:00pm. Doors open at 6:00pm when tables will be available for you bring your own take-away, picnic or nibbles. BYOB and glasses.

On-going Support We are continuing to support St George's Crypt in Leeds and Wakefield Community awareness programme. Towels, socks, t shirts, men's basic toiletries (no aerosols), coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, pasta, tea etc are being collected.

Church Flowers as we are now unable to put flowers on the altar, it has been suggested that we give donations (usually in remembrance of a loved one) to a flower fund. A combined pedestal would then be arranged and hopefully we would have flowers in the church at all times. It anyone would like a personal pedistal this would be arranged at a cost of about £40 - please see Mave or Irene.

Advance Notice - if you are spring cleaning) There will be another Rag Mountain on May26th. Labelled bags may be left in the Church Hall during the previous week, further details to follow.

Future Dates for your Diary

AGM dates - just to clarify, St.Michael’s AGM is booked for Monday 2nd April, starting at 7:00pm in the church hall. St.Gabriel’s AGM is after the 4:00pm service at St.Gabriel’s on Sunday 25th March.

February charity support is.. USPG.

'Girls' night out' will generally meet at Church Hall on the first Friday of the month at 7:30pm. Further details to follow on the next meeting.

Next men’s group is Wednesday 22nd February at 7:30pm in the Conservative Club. The night's speaker will be talking about life in 40's, 50's and 60's.

Choir Sunday - please note on Sunday 4th March at 10:00am we have choir Sunday when the choir will be taking the service.

Friday 16th March - there will be an evening with Joe Maiden - Radio Leeds gardener. Tickets £4.

East Ardsley Flower Club are having a trip to Chelsea flower show on Thursday May 24th 2012 for two nights, bed and breakfast and diner + ticket into flower show - the cost is £196 and you will be staying at the Hilton Reading Hotel - please contact Joan Fox if interested.

St Michaels's Bookshop Craig and Hayley Bardy run the bookshop. The bookshop is at the back of church, but orders can be placed with Craig or Hayley for anything specific you may wish to purchase.

Churchyard Booklets - Morley Historical society have done a super job cataloguing the old churchyard and all the headstones - the booklets are at the back of church for reference - if you would like to purchase a copies then please see the Vicar.
